My 4runner has an electrical problem, after about 10 minutes of driving the sound system will start going on and off, the headlights will get dimmer, the heater will stop blowing as hard, and the rear anti lock light comes on. I went to autozone and had them test the battery/alt and they said it was fine other than the battery being slightly low. So far its started every time but after a bit of driving those problems start happening. I don't know what it is, possibly a short somewhere in the wiring or something like that?

check your grounds and make sure u dont have corrosion on the battery terminals.

 

try the 'big 3 mod'... my 93 has an electrical mind of it's own... door locks go berzerk sometimes, rear window switch in cab works about 1/100 times, left parking light works when you kick it, etc.....

bust out the DMM and start poking around I guess, sounds like a loose/corroded ground connection maybe. check out the electrical wiring diagrams in the FSM, iamsuperbleeder has the FSM's on his signature...
