90 pickup computer test?

I have a 1990 pickup 3.0 v6 and need to find out if the computer can be tested. Still have no spark and have limited possibilities to the igt or igf wires from igniter to ecu, or just the one circuit in the ecu that controls the spark. This has probably been asked before and I apologize for making a double but could not find anything like it here. Any help would be great and thanks in advance.
