2nd Gen HI & LO beams at same time?

OK. I was wondering if anyone has wired up a relay to have the HI's and LO's on at the same time... or if it melts the harness/ makes the bulb fry. Or even if anyone knows how to figure out how to (switching ground is wierd... )

I have 9007 bulbs in now which are nice, but something brighter would be great.. im getting 12.3v at the plugs

thanks

Chris

Have not set mine up to do that permanently, but did do a quick test to confirm that it works. A lot depends on the heat dissipation capacity of your head lamp housing and the wattage of the bulb. An all-glass housing would be the best and likely you would want to use something close to stock wattage, say a 55/60W bulb, to keep the temps down. I do plan on wiring mine up to a switch so I can turn the low beams on and off with the high beams on. Probably best to only have them on while moving to take advantage of the increased air flow, for cooling. I do have all-glass Hella housings.
