Recently acquired a nice '83 truck with a mere 148k miles, runs Great! But was not charging when I got it, swapped in a new regulator and a known working alternator, but - i was an idiot and forgot to attach "B" wire. Started it, alternator light went out for a moment, came back on again. shut it off, then realized my mistake, attached "B" wire, started it, light came on right away and remains on. Only battery voltage at battery. Battery voltage at B terminal also. Did I fry something by not connecting B wire and starting?
I'm good with wrenches, really bad with sparky stuff...
