clifford xl 500 alarms problems!

I have a 98 runner, can't get the thing to start.

Tried the vallet switch, with key on, pulling fuse, unhooking battery, and killswitch.
Just about at wits end with this.
Don't know how to reset the alarm.
Please help!

Tried the holding the both buttons, to get it to valet mode. Beeps, flashes, but no reset. Need to be able to drive with or without an alarm! Thanks

possibly a loose wire from the one of the two starter kill wires? The starter kill wire colors from the brain are going to be purple and green. purple is going towards the vehicle side of the wire, and green towards the key side of the wire. the vehicles starter wire should be solid black, or green with a black stripe. Check and make sure that both of those connections are solid.

if you want to bypass the alarm altogether, you can unplug the main harness at the brain, and connect the starter wire back together. you can cut the purple and green a little longer if you want, then just solder and wrap those two together to make a solid connection on the starter wire.
