99 4runner Tailgate window wiring, need wire color and location
I have a 99 4runner and I am looking to control the tailgate window via a viper 791xv alarm system. I know that the factory keyless entry system has a tailgate window down function. I am looking to make my viper alarm system do the same thing. Does anyone know where I would find that particular trigger wire, and what color it is? I'm thinking I will just use my channel 4 output off of my viper to control this function.

3rd gen 4runner rear window wires
The tailgate window down wire is green with yellow stripe located in the drivers kick panel. It is a negative feed so you will need to configure your relay to transmit a negative signal. This is not the same wire that controls the automatic down, which is found with the factory keyless entry. To get the same result you will need to time the relay to stay closed for 5 seconds

If you want to roll it up and down, my advise would be to use a sunroof module "directed 529t" and wire it directly at the motor for the window. I installed it this way on my 4runner and its a little more work but works properly and has been this way for 2 yrs. otherwise you can used the wire mentioned by Ruadd and program the system to stay latched for about 5 seconds
