3rd gen 4runner keyless system installation on 2nd gen 4runner

is it possible to install the factory keyless system on a 2nd gen from a 3rd gen?
I don't know if this is a stupid question or not but I was just wondering if it would work or not. I'm just thinking about this because isn't there also a control for the rear window on 3rd gen key fobs, if not i guess I'm mistaken but if there is that would be the easiest way to get everything i want in one.
also if there is another way to get unlock, lock, rear window up and rear window down on a keyless remote then please let me know, I haven't yet been able to find a way to do this but if I do I'll be sure to post it here as well.
thank you for any help you all can give

I don't think it should be all that difficult. Maybe I'm crazy but the 2 trucks should be wired similarly with the exception of the wireless remote. take the remote and receiver from a 3rd gen and splice the right wires Into the 2nd gen and voila presto magnifico ex-cetera ex-cetera a keyless system on a 2nd gen right?

the alarms that came in the 3rd gen runners were typically installed using t-harnesses. you will have to get a diagram on the VIP alarm system that shows you what wires do what functions. Any basic keyless system is power, ground, ignition, door locks, and rear window. the only one part i see being a pain in the ass would be the rear window integration.
