There was a very nice looking diesel land cruiser 4x4 on ebay the other day. Ended up selling though for about $10k, so somebody wants one..

most diesel engines are more efficeint than any others. the most efficeint engine known is the turboed, slow-speed,two-stroke cycle diesel. Allthough if you wanna off road with one, its heavy as hell. they are made to run all day and sip fuel. There are trade offs...high speed engines(1000 rpm and up) have high maintenance cost pr hp, better fuel eco, lower thermo effeciency, but a smaller size. a slow speed is all that but opposite. I love diesels as they are work horses. ive seen them run more than three weeks without shutting off in the winter time.( you throw fuel through them though) . I wouldnt recomend it for off road. Diesel are tools not toys

so its not just toyota diesel motors... you guys in americia dont get any diesel pickups??? im pretty sure i see alot of cummins powered doged and f-350+++ with americian plates all the time...

i knew tdi and toyota diesel's are rare down in americia i hardley ever see them when I go.

Chevy, Ford, and Dodge have the heavy duty trucks with Turbo diesels. And a few car manufacturers have diesels or turbo diesels. But very few Toy diesels. Only ones I have seen have been half cuts into swaps, or conversions. (cummins usually)

Diesels are just not understood here in the States. And our govt is a bunch of idiots caring ONLY about lining their pockets....
