cant beat changing your oil once a year! saves you $$$$ in long run. i run mobile one extended performance, picked it up from wallmart for 26 bucks. 15,000 mile interval!
plus its kinda cool when people ask what oil you run in it! SYNTHETIC BABY!
also, i switched at 106k, no leaks whats so ever....MYTH

i switched from 15w40 dino to 10w30 valvoline synthetic blend in my '91. i've been trying to squeeze every bit of mileage out of my little pickup as i can(and i don't seem to be doing too shabby, but every bit helps). also, the engine had a bad sludge buildup when i bought it, and using a better oil helps break it up.
not concerned about leaks, since i've replaced every single seal and gasket since i bought the truck, with the exception of the valve stem seals(should've done them when i had the head off, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it). doesn't leak a drop or burn any.
in my '79, i run amsoil full synthetic 10w40. i built the engine to beat the crap out of, so i like running good oil in it to keep wear down on those 6000RPM runs.
