Mine came (at 2 years old) with a small dent in the front bumper, but the rear is/was mint until rust got ahold of the left corner. It actually rusted from the inside out -- I didn't know how bad it was until the truck got hit and the bumper kind of imploded! Replaced it and it looks good as new.

I've got a nice dent the size of a fifty cent piece right near the tow hitch on the bumper. Guess the previous owner missed the ball a few times with his trailer. I think the stealership put some cheap chrome paint on the ball to hide the rust because I know it wasn't there when I bought it and I've never towed anything.

Both my front and rear bumpers were "customized" by the previous owner. One looks like they backed the rear corner into something inanimate, and the front looks like someone stood in front of it and threw a baseball at it. Being that I'm not the original owner, God only knows what these trucks have seen. Anyone have any experience removing these dents? (00 SR5 4Runner w/ black bumpers)

my '91 has a bent rear bumper, but i can't figure out how it happened. right where the "cutout" is for a trailer ball/license plate, the top surface is bent upward. below the bumper, it's smooth, and same with the front of it. it's like somebody hooked a chain up to the upper edge or something. hard to explain.

the pickup has rear double tube that looks like a golf ball. i think people hit just for fun sometimes. i havent backed-up into anyone ?!?

misc mishaps

My 1st '89 was injured a bit when we needed pushed off a random heap of fresh dirt (bottomed right out, she did!)... dart those front-end loaders, anyhow. My second '89, well, he's got angle iron back there, so use your imagination... and my pretty boy Tyke, the '95, is spotless!

ooh, just washed all the mud off, ($12.00 of quarters later), cleaned the paint, polish, and waxed,

I moved forward in the bay about to leave, some guy was waiting to go next, I got out to get my floormats, was going to throw them in the back, he didnt seem to be watching, so i waited for him to stop....

2-3 inches 'under' my 4runner... luckily for me, while it looked really bad there, he mostly hit the hitch, HE destroyed the hood, bumper cover, and grill on his intrepid

must've had a really bad driving record, was worried about cops, and gave me $300 on the spot, pretty shady yes, but his paint buffed out at home and I'm 300 closer to paying off the 4runner, or just gonna get more stuff

Just wondering if this could be moved to the '86-95 forum? It was an ongoing joke I have, and it never really applied to anything over '95. Thanks!!!
PS. It is almost like it is more than just a coincidence!
