Haha this is great. I definitely join the club. 2 dents in bumper, one on each corner, and definitely all began after I found this forum and decided to start wheeling.
Sometimes those trees just sneak up on ya and give ya a good kick in the butt for being in their turf.

Mine had one for a while when my wife backed into a pole. I replaced it about 2 months ago.

Got one! (MANY actually....)

I got my first (a small one) from a van backing into me in a parkcing lot circa 1998 - three years before it ever found the dirt. I got the more fun ones a few years later on various trails around here. The funnest thing is that the one on the left corner matches the one on the right corner just about pefectly!

1 in front, 1 on each corner of the rear, those it came with- and 2 where I had a little talk with the bumper about not cutting off my hitch loops when I flipped it.

Mine would have even more dents if I didn't have my spare tire carrier. I've bent that thing several times. I've backed into rocks, trees, gates, posts......

Mine had the dent when I got it. It doesn't bother me until I noticed that the bumper is pushed forward on the driver side and is an inch closer to the tire and and inch down from the body. I think it has gotten worse since I've been wheelin because I didn't notice before. Also, if my hitch wasn't there, I probably wouldn't have a rear bumper anymore. That thing dragged all the time before I put cruiser coils in! Does any one know if I can push that bumper back into position, I am worried about clearance when I go to 33" tires.

I was thinking of putting a jack between the tire and bumper and seeing if I can push it back and up where it goes.

I replaced the middle section of the rearbumper after someone "tapped me". I also have a small dent on the driver side of the rear and the pass. side of the front that it came with.

Hi
1999 4Runner rear bumper came with a dent on the right side. So then my wife goes out and puts a matching dent on the front bumper.

yup, bought it with a dent factory installed i guess, guy i bought it from was orig owner and said its been there as long as he remembers.... doesnt know how or when it got there, its a 10 in longs scraping type dent along passenger side about 1/8 - 1/4 deep whole way ... but that guy wasnt the brightest since im pretty sure the dent in the running board (well, the one it came with anyway) is from him trying to jack the car up, judging by the tire marks on the page in the owners manual for changing spare while he was prob reading it step-by-step...

I was backing up in a parking space over this summer. I tapped a flat, concrete post hard enough for the paint on the rear bumper of the LC to flake. Long been fixed though.

Yup.
Bought it with a dimple on the L side.
I have since twisted the R side pretty good.
and that's just the rear.

tinfoil...

I was having a bad day yesterday, and I gave my bumper a mean look. It crumpled a little more.
