Where's your Toyota from?

Where's your Toyota from?
I had some extra cash lying around and figured "what the hell" and bought 5 codes of carfax ( 40ish bucks ) just to see where my 4Runner originally came from, how many owners it had, where it was maintained and what options it came with.
I know many dont really care where their rig came from, yada yada... but I just figured it would be a fun little topic
But anyway, So I Carfaxed my truck and found some fun information.
My truck was manufactured 4/24/92. ( I always new it was either April or May )
It was first bought 7/29/92 from the original dealership ( still trying to track that down. It was either Steven's Creek Toyota, or Fremont Toyota ) Those two dealerships are only 20 minutes from eachother.
I found out i'm the 3rd owner of my truck. The first owner had it for 7 years ( sold in 99 ) The 2nd owner had it for 8 years, then traded it back into steven's creek toyota, and an auction bought it. And then I bought it from a Used Car dealership in Walnut creek ( about 40 minutes from Fremont Toyota and about an hour from steven's creek toyota ) at 107k miles. And i've owned it since 2/21/08.
Its pretty cool though. Its never failed a smog and it had very low mileage until I've owned it ( i've put 15-20k on it every year, roughly )
And the "options" my truck came with was power windows/locks and rear ABS. So my truck was pretty much a very base model SR5, As I have no sunroof, spoiler, SR5 interior, rear heater, or running boards. But my truck did have the 4.30 gears on the 225 tires. So no 31" tire package or gear package.
Here's a few pictures of my truck in front of Fremont Toyota yesterday. I drove down there to buy some 17x7.5 FJ Cruiser steelies. and the guy decided to meet up there.

But yeah, Figured this would be a fun little topic.

boring reply but....I bought mine brand new in October 1991. other than the few times it's been "borrowed" over the years, every mile is mine. wife has driven it a few more than a handful of times (sitting on a pillow with seat slid almost all the way up.....circus midget or bearded lady, so i chose the one with less facial hair).
has always been my baby, though I neglected it for a long time service-wise until it broke the timing chain guide and guided me down the path of where I am today (2 rebuilds).
wife's 2006 was also purchased new and will be our project vehicle in about another year.
would like to run a report on Joe's 4runner for the heck of it, but never felt more compelled to do so other than thinking about it.

I wish I could've been the original owner of mine. but i was only almost 2 years old. lol Thats bad ass that you've kept it throughout the years. I plan to do the same for mine, even though I didn't put the first 100k miles on it.

Date of manufacture 3/13/1993
Evidently was owned by a leasing company until my father in law bought it in april 1996 with 59k miles. He sold it to my brother in July 2003 when he moved out of state. My brother drove it until he blew the motor in Jan 2004. I bought it from my brother in March 2004 with 202k and have had it ever since.

Mine started as a 5 year lease in Milwaukee. Then sold via auction to an employee of Arlington Heights Toyota near Chicago. I bought it from Arlington Heights Toyota after the employee traded it in. Being a lease kept the milage low.

2nd owner of my '90...a guy bought it new at Lithia Toyota of Springfield in 1990 and traded it back in to the same dealership where I bought it in 2004. Had 147k then, has 255k now. They told me the PO was a retired cop and I never really believed them until...
I found a wedding ring (big rock) inside the steering column when I took it apart one day (months after I bought the truck) Looked like someone put it on the tilt lever and it made it's way through the hole. They must have thought they lost it somewhere else because you could see the ring through the hole if you looked at the right angle. Anyway, finally tracked down the previous owner after I was able to convince the DMV of my intentions. Ended up returning the ring to the guy (divorced lol) and sure enough, he was a retired cop.
Never gonna sell this truck. Second owner of my first vehicle.

Don't know much about mine, haven't ran a carfax, the guy I got it from was a young kid that got his girlfriend pregnant, she is the one that sold it to him for $500 after buying it from his buddy that did all kinds of screwy wiring for a stereo.
Anyway he needed a car instead of the truck and I traded him a 1990 Subaru Legacy straight across for it, 6 months later I found the car at a used car dealership advertising it as a turbo car(I put a turbo trunk lid on because it had a spoiler but was not turbo)

Mine was purchased new in Virgina Beach, Virginia. The couple sold it to the previous owner who lived in Virginia Beach who then moved to Erie, PA. Then he moved to Bethlehem PA and I bought the truck with 243K on it.
Now it has 300K

On Toyota.com/owners, it says my truck was purchased in Santa Rosa at Freeman Toyota. Doesn't say it was the original dealership it was bought from though. I remember doing a CarFax a long time ago. Think I am the 3rd or 4th owner.

I purchased my truck new at Englander Toyota, Orlando Florida. Hard to believe next years she is 30 years old. Always serviced at a Toyota Dealership, never had any rust and 151,000 + miles. My odometer stopped working this week and it is being repaired now. Funny, speedometer works and trip odometer works.
