Wheel Paint?

ok...im bout to start painting my wheels for REAL...taking them off the tires..sanding...priming...everything...the local auto parts store doesnt carry BLACK Dupli-Color wheel paint...but they do carry black HIGH TEMP engine paint...would that stuff work just as good...it should...i mean...if it can stand up to the temperatures of some of the stuff under the hood...without cracking or peeling off....then it should be able to withstand some mud and rocks...shouldnt it?...or should i just go ahead and try to find some Dupli-Color wheel paint..thanks in advance

It may work OK if it is not the kind of paint that needs to be heat cured. I have used the real wheel paint before and it works well. As I recall, it was a poly urethane based paint and stood up pretty well to to rock chips, etc. You need a paint that is not too hard and brittle (tends to chip when hit by a rock) and that is tough, flexible and resistant to brake dust, etc.
