"Blocks" are a distance of measurement when traveling by foot or vehicle and a description used for directions.

"Blocks" minus the "s" goes with "head" for those that use blocks on wheeled 4x4s under their leaf springs.

2ff and true!
Blocks are for "street queens" or those who don't know better....YET!

Ok here is what I have:

If I were to get these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...172566892&rd=1, would I go back to using stock-length u-bolts? Also, will the new leaf spring completely replace what I have, or will I keep some of the rusty leaf springs?

Here is my setup. I just used left over leaf springs and cut them down to size. It works great, everybody should be doing it. I made them extra long to cut down on the axle wrap.

I've had 2" blocks under my rear springs for nearly a year, and I am pleased with them. eventually I will get some lift springs and lose the blocks, but for now it does me just fine.

OH JOY!!!

I had a pair crumble on me too. Luckily I was just pulling out of the shop, so the damage was "minimal". Spit out the drive shaft and bent it up really good. Put her in 4wd and limped out to the parking lot in front wheel drive. Had I been on the road things would have been VERY ugly...

Nothing wrong with blocks. Just make sure it is made out of the correct material like billet aluminum or cast iron. Ford and Dodge have been putting them on their trucks for years without any issues. Blocks are very similar to BJ spacers and many members here use them. If you do it right the first time the blocks will not fail.
