for it to run forever.

for me it's basically a stock daily driver 4WD that I use on long road trips and have the option to sleep in the back if I need to.

DD with the ability to go where I want to go when I want to go. Believe it or not it's done.... finished.... does what I want. (so far)

My lady and I plan a lot of camping trips and we hate to be 35 feet off of the concrete when we camp. It's usually locked in 4 low as we get a few miles back in the hills or to that spot that no one else can get to by the lake. Remote camping in a first gen runner is a blast when you can get where no one else can with their campers and such.

i choose safari/expedition..

i want to be able to use my truck for heavy to light trails, and some occasional mud, and maybe some light rocks (like mountain trails even thou i live in florida where our biggest "mountain" is a really big hill) and still be comfortable driving it down the high way.

so far i have no mods, a power problem when it gets warmed up, and front brake issues but im about to fix the front brakes, rebuild my hubs, new cv axles, new rims and tires, new Warn front and rear bumpers (if anybody is selling let me know ) topper, roof rack (which i cannot find the ones that everyone ive seen on yota tech has) , new paint job (pearl white with red flakes in it using Imron paint so trails and rocks dont hurt it) , im gonna cam the engine, port and polish, header and new exhaust, racing head, new interior (subs and all), rhino line the bed (and the bottom half of the truck for more paint protection) and ARB airlockers.....and more to come which i havent thought of yet.

its gonna take a while and some money but She'll be badass when im done. any suggestions im open to em

safari expedition rig

Love my 86. Since I don't need it for a dd, got the '10 fusion for that, I want it to be my weekend toy. Use it in the winter in the snow to go to work. Will use for some dd use tho. Love driving it. Plans are
-SAS with 3" lift springs
-on 33x12.5 for fun, 33x9.5 for dd
- new hood and fender, grill
- bedline bed, and rocker panels
-bucket seats
- custom front &rear bumpers
-rebuild engine
-4.88 gears with locker
-custom behind seats tool box(extra cab)
and any other do dads I want

Expedition

'95 4runner: Finish the engine rebuild and probably get new tires for her (33x12.5). Probably wont mod her much anymore. Will be my summer DD/ back-up vehicle. Maybe wheel her sometimes.

'00 Tundra: Since the body is smashed to hell and she needs work all around (besides the engine) I want to lift her another 2" or so, get some 35" tires on her. I've got an idea for a steel flat bed kind of like "Toyospearo's". ( I work in a steel supply company so I can get steel really cheap ) Nice sturdy front bumper and winch. She will become my summer wheeler/ winter DD since she has ABS, better lights, gets warm faster and stays warm. Plus, just all around more comfortable.

My plans are slowly getting there..

Have...
-built engine
-locker
-4.56's
-33's
-mild lift (add a leaf + cranked torsions)
-tuneage
-lighting

What I want to do now is..
-long travel f/r (maybe SAS if I can keep it under 7' to the roof)
-swap in my Integra GSR seats
-armor
-re-do the body/paint
-33's or 35's in M/T variety. 33's for LT, 35's for SAS..

That's about it. I want to be able to take it across the country if I need to, and do trails when I want to, but remain a daily driver 'till I can afford a new truck. I don't plan on ever getting rid of this thing though..
