What is your final goal with your Toyota?

I'm trying to build mine to be as dependable as a DD as I can, but with moderate trails and expeditions in mind as well. My truck is paid off and I don't see myself throwing myself into car payments in the near future at all,so I'll work with what I have and do what I can to make it as close to what I have pictured. I'll also be purchasing a small eco car here shortly so that I can take the time to work on the truck.
Plans as of right now (always changing):
-New header/exhaust system
-Going to be adding a canopy and cutting the rear of the cab out (trekker style). Then bob the bed and canopy 10". Should be done in the fall.
-Roll bar from the back of the cab to the bed
-Tube bumpers and sliders
-SAS
-5.29's and no larger than 36/37's with some sort of locker combo once the 33's are shot.
Much more but its always changing so I'm not gonna waste my time typing it.
Currently its just the little things I'm working on to get it running right.

Drive it & drive it, then drive it some more. I'll keep it going as long as the cost of upkeep isn't approaching the cost of a new(er) Toyota. Probably going to be a long time when you factor in the higer costs for maintenance items, mods and insurance on a new(er) truck.
Now that I'm working close to home again and can bike most days, the Runner isn't racking up the miles like it used to. That should help it run even longer.

since my runner is my only form of transportation and pretty much a street queen im not gona do to much extreme mods. My goal is to add a 3 inch bodylift or a 3 inch suspension lift and add some 33" tires. Oh yeah and get some smitybilt bumpers for the front and rear. Thats about it for now

My ultimate dream is to SAS my 01 runner but money talks.... So we will see
Eventually it will be done !!
Until then I would like to put a 2"-3" body lift on her and run 35"s. I would love to supercharge her !! Add a Roof rack, rock sliders and some different wheels

Daily Driver that's very dependable and yet still very capable. Doesn't look crazy offroad madness with 49" iroks but when you look at it you can tell it will go some places. So really something capable and clean you can take your date out and not look like a redneck then go hit the trails the very next day if you want.

Better would be a removable top so you can then run a CanBack to at least use the roof again to carry stuff.
I would guesstimate a diesel for any Toyota SUV or car is years off here.

SAS'd Crawler....not a daily driver (that's what the subaru is for....4-cyl and 2/3 the weight is a lot easier on the gas budget), but not a trailer queen either.
35-36" M/Ts
2" 4Crawler body lift
2" 4crawler engine mount spacers
budbuilt tcase crossmember for the 2" drivetrain lift
1-2" suspension lift using downey stock length rear springs
budbuilt rear shock relocation kit (for / \ shocks)
SAS (haven't worked the details out on that)
inchworm A/T conversion to use dual gear driven tcases behind my A/T
rebuilt/slightly built 22RTE
my smittybilt front bumper
tube doors
4Crawler bolt-on sliders
all-pro rear bumper
detroit lockers front and rear
5:29s
rear disc brakes
ummm.....I think that's about it....
