What do you think of this bumper design?

Function wise?

Do you think it would be best just to take off the stock bumper and make this go to the bottom of the grill? Or is this pretty good? The trailer hitch sticks out about 3 inches so I don't think taking off the stock bumper would really improve my approach angle with the hitch still there. And I don't really want to cut off the hitch but I could if I find that I'll never use it. But this design mounts onto the sides of the box holding the hitch. The stinger was sort of an after thought and wouldn't be quite like that if I made it.

so please give me your opinion.

I like the design of the white lines but I think the red a blue lines should maybe be scaled up in size...just looks a little dwarfed on the truck. Props for trying to design your own though have you thaught about making that portion bigger?

maybe widen the area right off your hitch so you can widen the hoop and make it more prominent. my .02

Why don't you just build the hitch into the bumper design and get the approach angle back?

Need some shackle mounts in addition to the receiver.

Stinger needs to be at or above the top of the hood to truly be effective.

Here's mine:

trail-gear.com makes a winch plate with built in receiver that you can fab your bumper off of. I think I am going to use it when I do mine.
