Water in the Rear Diff
I found out that my rear pinion seal is leaking on my 91 fj80. nut the oil coming out as a milky color. how do I clean that out. DO I just drain the oil and refill or do I need to pull the axles, drop the third member and clean with WD40?

Seems like a common fix is to drain, spray brake cleaner in, a LOT of brake cleaner, try to get it all over the inside, let it all drain out, maybe overnight, then refill. You can also just change the fluid, run it for a 10 or 20 miles, and change it again. Honestly though most people probably just change the fluid and are done with it. Fix that pinion seal, they aren't that hard (at least not on my truck).

Just drain and refill. If you're concerned, you can check the condition of the new fluid after a few hundred miles by draining a bit from the drain plug (after the truck has sat for a while). If there's any water left, it will settle to the bottom.

Drain and refill. If you're seriously concerned, do it twice. There's natural humidity in the air. Personally, I wouldn't be concerned about a left over drop or two. There's no way you're going to eliminate all moisture.
