well, to me that dent looks brand new,and it looks like a ballpeen hammer!!! im aggrevated that someone calls themselves a mechanic and pulls this kind of crap.,i really feel your pain. i ,personally, would painstakingly document every date, conversation and what he did and what you traded, pictures and video, get 2 or three other professional opinions, quotes, and file with small claims court.try to re-coup your losses, hell, you might even get your car back!!! good luck bro and dont give up!!!!!

i tell ALL the ladies there's a dyno in my pa...oh that's not what you meant...nevermind...

so i took to another shop, to check the exhaust and the timing. the guy told me that he set it to 5* based on the marks on the truck, and it was way off. so he set it again using some sort of tool he had, and it was running better.

he wound up leaving it at 7.5* advanced, and said since i'm due for emissions check, to get tested and see what the HC's read. if they're not too high, i can come back and he could bump it another degree if i want.

so i'm driving it. IT'S RUNNING LIKE A SCALDED DOG!!!

this truck has NEVER had power like this. FINALLY, it feels like the $$ i spent on a new engine was worth it.

i can accelerate uphills now! on the death hill right outside my apt. complex, which i used to only be able to go up in 1st before the motor, or could shift and go up slowly in 2nd after the motor, i can now race up, through 2nd and shift into 3rd. the thing accelerates like my little honda now.

i also had some exhaust leaks welded up, and somehow they got my muffler to stop sounding like a paper bag over a fan. i'm happy with that.

sooo...it seems that ACC put my engine back together correctly, but they didn't take the extra time i requested to dial it in. that's kind of a let down.

and it's still not done visiting local shops. i'm taking it to Southern Offroad Specialists today to have front shocks put in. i'm going with OME N98s to match the OME gear i put in the rear last year. and a steering stabilizer too. i'll stick with the OE t-bars for now. it's already stiff enough.

meanwhile, i'm starting a new thread today on the interior customizing i'm doing. holy crap did i bust my arse on the truck this weekend. i've been guzzling ibuprofen like PEZ candy. as you get older, your mind writes checks your body can't cash!

piece out
