Toytota axle tech-new and old

I would really--really really like to start a WIKI section on old and new Toyota axles.

We know alot about most toyota axles up to the 8.4. However, i would like to get more technical and think this would help others alot this is what i would like to put in this WIKI:

**Model and Year--1999 4runner
**Housing length wheel mount to wheel mount-XX inches
**Axle length and Spline Count-XX Inches
**Differential Offset-- Left, Right, Center
**Bearing info--------Part #XXX with (same as tacoma...)
**ABS info and sensor Location---End of housing near wheel flanges--Tundra, 4runner, tacoma..all same style
**Third member info and interchangability--2004 Tundra also fits 2004-2008 Toyota whatever
**Factory locker/lsd info or aftermarket
**Disc/Drum brakes--Specs (Disk with 11" diam/1"wide)
**Pictures?? or identifying marks.....
**Comparable to: 8" Turbo=Dana 44.....
**Size of tire ran Reliably=8" turbo/V6=35" locked....

Also any suggestions you think i forgot to include that would be useful.

Obviously the older axle info will be a piece of cake to get--but the newer stuff?? This Wiki will be the be all end all authority on Toyota axles both new and old.

WHY you ask--because I/we are wanting to upgrade I/we/our axle(s) for our rigs so it would be nice to know what came with what and what we could use without giving up the say ABS but gain factory rear Disc brakes.

Submit it and i will write it up and as time goes by hopefully it will become the greatest toyota axle information source in the world.

True--I guess I/We could gather the missing data and forward it to Erik to include on his website.

I think i "FUBAR"-ed my Elocker install by letting to much collateral grinding dust get into the Third member while i was fabbing the retro fit. So i was trying to gather data on other Yota axles/housing that would allow me to retain ABS and have factory disc brakes.....etc. with the least amount of work--and maybe upgrade a bit to a stronger axle....stuff like that. Than i started thinking that we are always gathering information--it would be a great idea to gather it--then put down the cold hard facts in a centralized location. All the facts and misc about Yota axles

for example--Does the FJ Cruiser use the 8"elocker but also come equiped with disc brakes? things like this

It doesnt seem like this thread is going to see much action---thought it is one of those things that should. Eriks page is nice--but more detailed information would be great......
