Toyota VS Suzuki [ RUST ISSUES ]

HELLO

In general, what manufacturer [ Toyota or Suzuki ] has a better reputation for building vehicles free of terrible rust issues?

I know Toyota has a bad REP when it comes to rust. I just cant see how they are much different than all the other import 4x4's.

Anyhelp is great

Thanks

I didn't know Toyota had a bad rep for rust. It depends on the care of the vehicle, the climate, and other various things (i.e. salt on roads due to snow... which goes with climate)... Just make sure any bare metal is covered with at least some primer to keep moisture out...

Older yotas, pre 1990 had rust issues b/c the beds rusted and rockers rusted easy in roadsalt climates.

My 96 t100 has not one speck of rust..

Here in Indiana they all have rust issues-- I-m in the process of repairing a 3 foot hole in the frame of my '89 toy right now -- both of our t100's are rust free -- one came from Florida the other came from North Carolina -- but we have some serious Toyota rust issues around here --- have not been around to many Suzuki's so I can't help you there.

Up here in the cold white north, rust is a major issue for Toyotas. I can't comment on Suzukis, but I know most older imports (primarily Honda/Toyota) had rust issues throughout the 80's and into the early 90's.
