Toyota Pickup Cap worth the price?

I'm thinking of buying this cap for my 1990 4WD ext cab pickup but the guy is pretty firm and asking $350. Should I keep looking or is it a good deal. The cap is in excellent condition I just can't make up my mind. Also, I haven't gone to look at it yet, does anyone know what brand this is?

Prices are going to vary in different places. If you want perfect you're gonna pay more. If you want something to enclose the bed you can get ones as low as $50.
Mine is older and needs sanding and paint (AZ sun) but it was $50 and functioned for my needs I've seen $50 ones that were in good shape.

in your 1st picture the rear window shows a label. ask the seller to take a picture of that. that location is generally where the manufacturer puts their label.

What other prices have you found?

I'm gonna go check it out Friday. I haven't been able to find any decent ones in Arizona that fit an extended cab.

For reference, it cost $300 just to have cap on my 4Runner painted. That's just to lightly sand and apply a coat or two. In So Cal.

I see the front of that cap is contoured for a truck with an arch at the back of the cab. You sure that would fit a 1990? Just wondering + pays to know before you drive that far

He said it is specifically for 89-95 extended cab Toyota Pickups. I do know the the ext cab pickups do have a forward slant and the single cabs have almost vertical slant. I will take the truck with me to test fit.

If it's specific to a Toyota I'd pay $350, especially if it's the same color as my truck already. Price seems fairly on-par with what I see used shells being sold for on CL, some as low as $50, others all the way up to $1000. New shells are very expensive comparatively.

We'll see how it looks and fits when I go there Friday. I really like the fact the its has a sliding window on the cab side. Unfortunately my truck is white but its no biggie. If its good I will pay the price.
