I have a few 30ft highlift crane straps rated a 50k lifting weight

 

The key is to use your head. If you get to the point where you have to try to snatch like the moron in the video it's time to re-think your plan of attack. It's at that point where I prefer to attach at two points & use a 2nd vehicle or if there is a winch equipped rig, strap it to a tree & use the tree as an anchor to pull the stuck rig. If it's a situation where the vehicle is stuck so bad two straps & two vehicles can't free it or an anchored winch rig can't....it's time to take a break & think outside the box.

 

I don't have a rear bumper or hitch, I just run mine to the frame rail.

 

I'll have to get under my truck to see what you're talking about. I remember thinking of the same thing but not seeing anything to hook it up to.

 

I've driven vehicles with no rear attachment point many times when someone needed a yank. I just used the front tow hooks and pulled in reverse.

The only reason I keep the tow hitch on my 3rd gen 4runner is a attachment point for recovery. I don't tow any trailers. Someday I'll get that custom bumper but for now it will do.
