tool holder

what do you guys use to hold loose stuff (tow ropes, foldable shovel etc) in the back of your runners.

I use a canvas tool bag for all of my tools. My tow straps tend to get muddy so I keep them in a pillow case.

Sears is always have a sale on two packs for around $16.
I think they are either thick canvas or Cordura

Canvas bags is the way to go. You can strap them down anywhere and they won't rattle.

If u want to spend the money I have the type of truck toolbox that goes between the wheel wells and its black powdercoar and I love it except it cost me a good bit.

yeah i would mike but i kindof lack the funds... if you know what i mean.

i use plastic tubs. they work great. i have on that lives in the truck that hold all my tools, recovery gear, emergancey stuff, floor jack, etc. i also have one for camping, and another one dedicated to cooking gear

shovel and hi-lift live on the roof rack.

I use a little of everything. Side pockets for bottle jack, tire repair kit, bungee cords/ratchet straps, and recovery equipment. Canvas bags for tools and recovery gear. SuperQuickFist for the fire extinguisher. The HiLift is bungee corded to the rear seat supports (although I think I'm going to put in some QuickFists for this). Plastic "totes" for spare fluids and parts.
