Throwout bearing or clutch chatter

I have about 30k miles on a clutch and flywheel resurface and yesterday it started to make a noise when I push down the clutch. It doesn't happen everytime just on occasion and is happening more often, when it makes the noise tho shifting into gear is harder than it should and I have to force the gear in...

I searched and saw it could be a throwout bearing going out so I'm going have my mechanic check it out today. My main question is... If we do have to drop the trans to fix it (which I think we will have to) then should I just put a new clutch kit while I'm in there? Like I said it has about 30k miles and I've never been too satisfied with it.

If you have to drop the trans (and im sure you will) replace everything, flywheel, complete new clutch, throw out bearing, and pilot bearing, that way everything will be new and there will be no guess work on whats good or bad.

well news inst so great.... he checked it out, bled the clutch to make sure all the air was out and it shifted a little better but still made the noise on occasion. he listened to it and hes pretty sure it is coming from the trans area, not the bell housing so he suggested taking it to a trans shop to get a good diagnostic... he said if it was the clutch or throwout bearing making noise, it would happen every time you push down the clutch not just occasionally. is that true? i trust my mechanic but getting some other opinions would be great

Yea, thats true. Ive have throw out bearings go bad on other vehicles and they would be the loudest when the clutch was pushed in. Depending on how many miles you have on your transmission, it just may be time for a rebuild ?. Let us know what you find out.
