are both antennas active at the same time? is it in the front? mine doesn't have it there. my electric is busted and would like to eliminate it
Both the "diversity" and "electric/whip" antennaes plug roughly into the same place on the back of the stereo unit, with the "diversity" being the smaller of the two.

A few things on my Tacoma. I found out you have to recline the passanger seat, or it will rattle. I also found that if you place a jack in the box antenna ball on top of the dash and windsheld, you can get rid of the dash board rattle. The Bed will hit the cab, all three of my Taco's did this. I also found out, that if you shift at 3k rpm's the Transmission is sliky smooth.

My 4runner, you have to use the ac or it blows hot air. Also the running boards come off easy when hit.(Thanks to the guy in the Nissan Truck who drove off). Also the sunroof makes all sorts of noises while opening. I also found out that the stock jack sucks.

it wont blow hot air if you take it off fresh air. put it on recirculate and off and no air moves.

I found my runner loves gasoline (11 city)has meek power (for a V6) but pollutes like an electric car ( 0 hc and 0 co readings at my last smog check)
The cruise control is useless unless the grond is flat.

Take off the 3 cross bars that are flat on the paint. Makes washing/detailing a lot easier.

Ok.
I thought there was something more, like MPG increase or something.

*You can literally cut your exhaust pipe in two if your truck shakes really bad
*Your truck will shake really bad if you crack your tranny case in half, and then drive 70 MPH from Oklahoma City to Yellowstone (in Wyoming) and back...
*You get really good milage if your tranny case is cracked in half (so, by deduction, there is a lot of power loss in the auto tranny, since cracking the case and loosening thngs up seems to make it spin easier)
*Really dirty tranny fluid looks like realy thin, dirty motor oil
*Your tranny can still shift fairly well if the case is cracked in half
*There is a small hill in the ground underneath all that tall grass
*If you hit that small hill at 60 mph, you will fly
*If you fly, you can crack your transmission case...

OK, so I'll try to do better.

* You can unplug the factory alarm system box which is under the driver's seat, to keep someone from stealing your truck (it won't start without it).

* Mud in the brake discs stays there for a long time.

* Nearly every bolt is easy to get to, if you have enough long extensions.

87 Turbo 4Runner

Things I have found:

1. Working at a Toyota Dealership has it's benefits.
2. I have a digital dash board. (so 80's)
3. On that dash, I can change the Speed-o to MPH and KPH with a push of a botton.
4. On that same dash, I can change my fuel guage scale from a standard to a 1/4 full.
5. I can't figure out why my dash dimmer has a click switch. It works like a standard dimmer switch, however, when you get it to the higher setting, it "locks" into place.

mag light placement

I found out that my mag light (big one) fits perfectly on the left side of my driver seat w/o any harness applied to it.. right underneath the power seat adjustment buttons... One time I was cut off and I brake really hard.. enough to the point where my abs kicked in and the mag lite didn't even moved.. so no need to worry about it rolling under my feet.
