Free Fake Alarm

Hey Gang,
I have pondered this immensely after getting my own rig lifted from in front of the house on a well-lit street.

The two best solutions I have found are to:
1. Wire up a switch (with fuse inline) from the rear of the efi fuse, and put a open dummy fuse in.

2. Rewire your ignition switch to the horn, relocate the switch to somewhere sneaky (Fake cigarette lighter with push-button starter switch; or having a push button switch actually inside the seat upholstery, so only you know where to press and you still cannot see the switch.)

any kill switch that still allows the start to crank is best. they can crank and crank till the battery is dead. much rather have a dead battery and my vehicle than not..

the second i go to start someone else vehicle and it doesnt crank. i automatically know its a starter kill and can easily defeated.

So this is an idea I have had to slow down oxygen thieves for awhile.

The shift knob still fits on top of the nut. I got an adjustable lock for about $10.00. Put the shifters in reverse and 4wd then put the lock on. Back in the parking spot if possible, if not the truck will only go backwards about 5 mph.
My version from a few years ago.
