Tell me about cold start injectors

Tell me about cold start injectors
Do they have a pulse similar to the standard fuel injectors or are they just "open" when they are on? How much fuel do they flow, compared to the standard injectors? We are looking at the injectors on a 22re or 5mge for a custom application

On the 22RE, the CSI is just on and off, controlled by the cold start injector time switch. More info.:
