stuck in the mud, now it wobbles

Tonight i got stuck in the mud in my 94 4runner. It was real thick mud that I could walk on top of. My truck was over half the rims. When I got pulled out and up a steep inbankment and got back on the road it wobbled like crazy over 30mph. I only had it up to 40mph with the same problem. The truck shook and stereing wheel jerked side to side. There is mud all over the front end which I will clean off and inspect tomarow morning in the daylight. Any ideas on what it could be? There was alot of turning the wheel side to side and switching from forward to reverce trying to get out.

Thanks guys

Greg

It could be all the mud on your rims. Make sure you get all the mud off on the inside of the rims also.

take off your rims and wash them off.get all the mud off because having all the mud on the rim its effecting you balance of the tire. i would have your tires re-balace. i work at a good year tire center and we get alot of this and when we balance the tires theyr out of balance wich is making it shake.

It is probably the brakes. The first time I took mine in the mud I had the same problem, 1 trip to the carwash fixed it.

Its the mud on the inside of the rims, after your done wheelin just make sure the biggest chunks are out, and it won't do that. Then just make sure you hose them out good when you clean the truck.

and a climbing caribeaner... thats not cool, now i realize that you said it was a climbing one and not a keychain, but ive usually seen them rated at 20kN... which is only 4500lbs, that is not working strength IMO, that is "if you pull this much you will break ˟˟˟˟e" next time you are out, or even on the web, look into some quality recovery equipment please

Yha i got tons of gear in the truck, d-shackels, tow straps, chains, hi-lift, and bunches more, the only problem is that the jeep had noplace to hook to. It only had a hitchs with noplace for safty chains, we tried to get the strap to hook up to the pin that holds in the ball thinggy but we couldnt so my buddy busted out the 5-6k caribeaner we ended up hookin it up like that. We made sure that everyone was in the trucks when we got to pullin so that noone would get hurt if it broke. Today was my buddies b-day so im gonna go out and buy him some sort of tow point for that damn jeep of his.
