Starter bolts

Starter bolts

i was just wondering has anyone had or heard of the mounting bolt for a starter backing out and falling off it has happened to my runner and im rather perplexed and irritated

Well they are generally hard bolts to get too, possible it was hard for the PO ( or whoever touched the starter last) wasnt able to get the proper torque on them, thus they vibrated and backed out.

Ive seen it a few times on equipment at work, but never on any of my Toyotas.

yeah thats the last time i let my brothe in law take care of my stuff, the part tha sucks is there is only one place on this dang island that has these bolts

I had one a while back it didn`t come all the way out just got loose enough that it broke the starter nose

No big yank to fix just put a new nose on the almost new starter..

i always have these bolts on hand you just never know.
