something broke in my rear end...

So I have a t100 with 488s and a Detroit ratcheting locker. After the pismo trip it felt fine. After driving through the canyons to work for a week I noticed some axle fluid leaking out the passenger side wheel. I drove it once yesterday and it started making a clunking sound on the passenger side and when I parked tons of fluid came out through the wheel.

What do you think happened? Axle? Locker fail?

get ready for a full rebuild *expect the worse*, then tear it down.

Sounds like something is bad in there, likely you blew the axle seal and possibly need a new shaft as its bent.

Thanks haha. Ya I gotta pull it apart I guess. Fingers crossed its not a whole rebuild. Just an axle.

One question...did you jump it?

I already know you did....who could resist. You bent an axle and crushed an axle seal. Fix it.

Well you seem pretty sure about that... I'm not sure if my rear end ever left the ground. I don't really jump that truck. Guess I would have to ask Chefyota or toyo.
Lol fix it? No I'll just leave it....

Those pics from Pismo made me so jealous. I bet that was a blast.

Trick to the axle seal is to get it set the the exact depth as it was from factory. Shouldnt be too bad a job at all.

You doing a used axle and bearings stuff all together? or a new one and pressing it all together?

Sounds like axle shaft bearing(Rear Wheel bearing) failure.
