So I Okie Rigged Something Today

So I finally replaced my radiator, and the new radiator apparently has a different size cap for it. not knowing this i went to put the cap on and it didnt fit. the sun was going down and i didnt feel like taking out the radiator and putting the old one back in so i okie rigged a radiator cap. check this out

it didnt fit ..

just for fun


i tested it and it leaks a little but im just going to work then straight to the parts store. im kinda worried but everything is full and im gonna take it easy and its a short ish drive

I don't think that's actually doing the job. It needs to be able to hold pressure to keep the coolant from boiling.

I almost did the same thing, got a rad from Napa, got home n noticed cap size bigger. I went back and got a rad with same size cap.

well it made it fine to work and the parts store!!
i wasnt going to drive more than that tho.
i just drove reallly easy...
