It was in steamboat - 3 hours from anyone I knew. And I had a winch but it was off of my rig to have the solenoid fixed. It was a brand new Warn 9500ti, but unfortunatly they are known to fail when brand new because metal shavings get in the solenoid...

yeah we got close to 10" or so out here maybe more. At one point I-25 north of tramway to CO border was closed and I-40 from Central/tramway exit to Texas. Oh and the 550 is closed too. I'll take some more pictures in the next few minutes when I go out and dust off the satellite dish. I moved from Maine to get away from this snow. I have a feeling my runner isn't having too much progress being done to it right now.

Ok Round 2 of pics. There is about 10-12" of snow it was over the 1st step on my step stool.

The PT Cruiser is sitting in the middle of the road and it looks like its stuck. (they don't know how to shovel themselves out).

More of the snow covered Yucca and neighbors runner.

The grill has a lot more snow on it now!!!

Man, feel lucky that you have snow, it hasnt snowed in Beaumont, TX, in over 15 years...
Actually it is kindof a good thing, because then I dont have to worry about road salt and stuff like that. Silver paint doesnt last long here though, because the beach is less than 60 miles away and there are chemical plants everywhere. I was lucky and my 89 was origonally from Tennessee, and had only been here about 2 months before I bought it....No rust at all anywhere on the body (cept the inside of bed because of a damn cheapo drop in liner). and only surface rust on the frame!!

Great story Molly. That saga is hillarious. It would seem that the only folks with snow right now are those of us in the Rockies/Front Range. We've had quite the December.....
I've post-whored these pics in all the other forums - why not here

Here's a couple for you. About an hour after the pic of the '99, it was stuck on a backroad, goin' down the mountain, with my wife telling me, "I told you not to come this way." Fifteen minutes with a good German military pick (it was ice) got it out with me pushing. The '99 is still the only 4Runner that has been stuck.
