removing super gluhade from dash

I had to superglue a few pieces of my dash kit back on after i left the window cracked open on a negative 15 degree night. some of it got on parts of the dash and on the clear cover over the carbon fiber dash kit. whats the safest way of removing it without harming the stuff below it.

If the surfaces weren't clean and had something like armorall on it, the glue might not have stuck well. If this is the case you can try popping off the glue with a sharp knife.

Somebody will recommend acetone, but I would be very wary of it. Acetone (nail polish remover) will remove it if you soak it long enough (maybe overnight), HOWEVER, acetone will eat some plastics and I would try it as a last resort and I would try it on a test area first. I wouldn't try it on the dash at all.

Wait...does your title say superglue haze? If you're just trying to remove the haze and not globs of glue, usually you can just wipe it off with a damp towel. If that doesn't work try some dash cleaner or maybe isopropyl alchohol.

If it's just the haze, use something oily and not "hot", like acetone, alchohol, laquer thinner. Those will "dry" your dash out and make it look whitish sometimes. Oily stuff would include, paint thinner, kerosene, kitchen oil, armor all, etc... I wouldn't use anything hotter than paint thinner though..

If it;s a lump of it, I would probably try to scratch it off...knife or fingernail

I've had limited luck with WD-40. Be careful where you use it and don't spray it on... put some in a rag and dab at the spot. As always test in a non viz area first.
