removing elocker connector-help!

Hi,

I'm removing the third member from a tacoma trd and I can't get the pass. side connector off of the elocker actuator. It is square gray plastic and I don't see a tab on it. Sorry I don't have a digital camera. Also, I didn't lock my locker before removing the third; Do I need to lock it or can it be locked manually once I remove it? Thanks!

Look close again, IIRC there is a tab that needs to be un clipped. The connector has an "O" ring seal and has a dab of grease from the factory, makes for a tight suction fit.

No worries on removing the 3rd unlocked, you might have to lock it to get it back in, some times the locking collar likes to get hung up on the axle housing, makes it a bear when trying to hold it up and get it lined up

Thanks guys. I finally got the connector off; the tab is underneath and difficult to see. So you can manually lock the locker before reinstalling it?

yea, just pull the actuator off and you can move the shift fork by hand. Just keep track of which position the shift fork, actuator and the switch are in when you reasssemble.

Do I need to remove the actuator before pulling out the third?

Got a question.

Does anybody sell a manual cable for the e-locker third ?
I am planning on adding the e-locker and would prefer to operate it by cable
instead of the inch worm wiring kit.

Thanks - I'll be contacting Downey.

Easier to ask than search sometimes - especially from work.
