The person that was selling the 85 4runner that i almost buyed is now parting it out. im getting the clinometer and the a/c faceplate. How do you remove the clinometer?
P.S. Using a biger hammer is out of the question.

You have to remove the dashpad. There are four nuts underneath that hold the inclinometer.

Take the dashpad off first.
You have to remove the vent on the far right passenger side of the dash pad to get at one of the bolts. Then use a flashlight to look for the one that is hidden up under the windshield in the middle. You can reach it with a long extension. The rest of the bolts are pretty accessible, if my memory is correct.
Then you can get to the bolts holding on the inclinometer.
