Yeah, the labor will be the same because I will have to pull the EFI and all off my current motor, and thats not too big a deal since I have more time than money right now!!!! But I mainly am concerned with reliability cause I really dont want to do it twice...and I have heard horror stories about rebuilts and originals both...the original is local with no shipping, while the rebuilt would be ordered from a "reputable" shop like propower or precision(cant afford DOA or LCE!!!)

if your keeping it stock you can order a new head and a rebuild kit from www.engnbldr.com for around $640

Well, something came loose in my current motor cause the kid who owned it before me ran it out of oil ...so it makes a lovely clank-knock-BAMBAMBAM when you turn it over...also, the oil I put in then drained looks like glitter glue...so its got internal damage and will need machine work if its even salvageable...so, I am figuring I need a block eitherway and I am trying to find the cheapest, yet RIGHT way to do this...
I fouond a 22r complete and running but with a knock for 250, but then I still need the rebuild for about 650 which comes up to abouta grand, a rebuilt from a decent shop is about 1k-1500, and the motor with 65000 original is at 1000 firm, so all options are about 1000+.
These are my current options and I am just trying to figure what will be the best bang for the buck, and guess at which will require the least effort after dropping it in...
