A question about adding rear blocks
#24
I think for street driving they would be. but 2 diff height blocks? Not so sure. The zuk mod would get the springs back to equal travel, more payload, and a smooth ride. Isn't that part of the reason 2nd gen 4Runners had a coil over suspension?

Lol, stupid, the yellow means nothing without the white.

I've run 2" blocks, gone up into 5000 RPM's for short periods. They haven't come off. Axle wrap is fine. Of course I have 35's and with 4.10s... apparently my truck shouldn't even move.

My 4Runner had 3" blocks in the rear when I got it, and I hated the axle wrap. I removed them and built a spring pack out of two to suit my needs. I haul my recovery gear, tools, full size spare, and air tank in the cargo area. It sits level in the rear now. My original spring pack had 3 leafs, now it has 4 plus the overload.

The Zuk mod looks like a good option. Also I'll throw out there that my air shocks work good too. It will take a bit of research to find the right length and ends to fit your truck though.

I was actually looking at some Gabriel air shocks for my truck, to lift it a little and to keep it from squatting so bad when I load my 4wheeler in the back. Would that be ok to do or not?
Sorry to thread jack.

Sure, the nice thing about them is the adjustablity. More weight, just add more air pressure. The way they come with the air line shared between the left and right side (cross linked) makes them work good in flexing situations on the trail too. As one tire is stuffed up the other is pushed down.
