A question about adding rear blocks

My toyota sits a little low in the back and my guess is because we used the back bed as a storage unit when it was in the garage. It does not ride ruff or anything but i would like to even the back height with the front. I'm thinking of adding some blocks to the back and heres where my question comes in. The drivers side on the rear is 1 inch higher than the passenger side. Is there a reason why i can't use different size blocks on either side to even out the height?

-Thanks Blake

Don`t use blocks, they will cause axle wrap and there just not a good way to fix a saggy butt. do a search and you will see what others have done to fix this problem.

x2 zuk mod

I hate to sound stupid but, what the hell is the zuk mod?

Coil over from axle to frame. Look for junkers88 thread on it, he did a nice write up with pics.

BTW, x3 zuk mod. :great:

And BBP, They don't make 26 inch springs for you to do a zuk mod, sorry :(

Hmm just did a search and read up on the ZUK mod. Looks interesting. But if i do the ZUK mod my question comes back again. Will I have to get one coil spring longer than the other or does that not matter with the mod?

kiyobrown 01-13-2010 06:56 PM

They should sit equal, or really damn close that you won't notice. and you will be happy with the ride quality, too.

Same length coil will do the job.

Sweet. I'm thinking of doing it with the TJ jeep coils that way I won't have to cut out the top piece and weld in that retainer for the new coil.

lol, don't do blocks do a ghetto extra spring where it doesn't belong, amazing advice amazing

Hmm, if running factory was the only way, I guess we all woudn't be here.

So I recommend everyone take out their compressors, their SAS, sliders, winches, sleeping platforms, lockers, they just don't belong folks. :great: ;)
