Ok so i kinda have a running "arguement" with the local jeeps. (whats new)

today they clame that the cherokee and grand sold better (and are more of them around) then the toyota pickups and 4runners of roughly the same period.

the period in question would be early 90's say 90-95 or so.

I say the second gen 4runner and pickup were BIG sellers durring that time and easly match or beat the jeep sales. (wrangler not included)

so anybody know of were to get some hard stats? Ive tryed but not much luck...

so im not usually one to aruge whos better Jeep/yota cause its an endless pointless arguement (although toyota IS BETTER) but it should be easy to say which sold more.

 

there are WAY more XJs out there than pickups/4runners of the same time period.

that said, sales means absolutely nothing when it comes to quality. i bet a chevy idiot could use the same argument...

 

Who cares if there are more of them out there. It just goes to show you that people back then were cheap and chose to buy something without thinking. Now My truck which was maybe a few thousand more than a Jeep XJ Or 3dollarbillJ when new can buy about 3 or 4 of them used today.
