I am buying a used car hoist from a friend and I am going to power it with a generator, I need to figure out what size generator I will need, we looked at the motor and we saw the number 18, my buddy feels that is the start up amps, It is a two post lift, 220 volt, I will get more info on it, does anyone else power there lift with a generator, does anyone have any idea what size gen I will need, I will update the post when I get more info on the lift
