power steering pumps

I cant seem to find a good answer. I have a 81 pickup 22r motor. The previous owner took the power steering pump off the truck along with the brackets and pulleys. Will any year model pump and bracket work?

No.

At least not without mods. Any first gen ('79-83) pump should work without mods. '84-85 still had solid front axles so it works pretty well but you may have to drill a hole or two. After that Toyotas went to independant front suspension (IFS) in the front. A lot of people swap that power steering set up into the solid front axle trucks, but it takes welding and other mods.
