I am on my second 1st Gen 4Runner. For some reason, I think they are the best looking 4runner Toyota made. Plus I like the way they look and ride off-road. Mine is stock, but I am workng on it.
4xjedi- That white one is SWEET! It motivates me to get mine ready!
I am wanting to see what deisel options I have for my truck. The guy thta ut one in his pickup inspired me.

Hey 02Runner, do you have a website with some better pictures of your wheels. I have some Rock Crawlers that are bent, and I'm looking form some good replacements. I was considering the AR23 Alloy wheels from American Racing, but I don't know how they would hold up in the rocks.
Anybody out there know if the AR23 wheels will hold up well in the rocks??

And here's their site: Allied Wheel
FYI, you guys the epitome of slow is my 71 FJ40 but at least it gets me there, every time!

I love my 2nd Gen! She runs wherever I point her. Just got done with the 500 mile break-in for my new Yukon 4.88 gears, and my detroit locker. Can't wait to take her back out now, BTW, are there really only 3-4 women in this forum?

I must admit... i did a double take on CCrusier's 4Runner. Between his brother's 3rd gen wheels and the ARB and the huge tow strap covering the headlights, it took me a couple looks to figure out what was going on... hehe:pat:

Despite a broken axle, my 3rd gen has been wheeling pretty good. Tomorrow I'm picking up a D44 housing from a early Ford Bronco. Maybe by next year, I'll be able to climb this same rock.
Chinaman's Gulch, Buena Vista, Colorado
Snapped an ORS axle in two. These are the stronges half shafts on the market. But trying to pull about 5500lbs up a rock, was asking a bit much.

85 runner. 37"MTR's/Marlin 4.7 T-Case/Bikini/All-Poop 5" lift/blah, blah, blah.
Some of you might have seen it at Holy Cross last weekend. I was in the group with the white camo and the blue Yota 1st Gens.

1ST GEN BABY. Being only 16 and this being my first vehicle ive never really drivin anything else but.... 230,000 miles on stock hoses, belts, brakes. The ol' girl sure sounds like a pretty good rig to me. It helps that my family has had it since brand new so i know its been well taken care of. But whatever the year.....ALL 4RUNNERS are sweet!!
