I want to mount one on the roof. If I put it in the middle then anyone in the truck can use it.

I want one of these so bad... but it would interfere with a snorkel

 

put the snorkel on the passenger side and spotlight on the driver side no interference

 

lol wanna explain to me how im gonna route a tube to go all the way around to the 3.0 intake manifold that enters on the driver side?

 

ummm ive looked 3.0s a little bit and i have no clue lol

 

haha yeah, wont be possible... Snorkel > Police light when it comes to importance

 

could make a custom bracket around the snorkel so the light goes on top of it

 

yeah... or i could put holes through the roof and make one pivot around like a spot light! haha

hey!!! im puttin mine in right now, i already messed up one hole and half missed the big hole, so safe to say this is a PITA and it will not be a neat install at all!!

but hopdfully it will look good once its done!!

alright, so my window slant is less steep then the bracket on the spotlight (its a unity H1 so its from the 50's). i read in another YT thread that somone had a 2nd gen pickup, and bought brackets at napa for a 1st gen runner, i called about 10 napa's and noboy had them, so im gonna try to make a wedge out of wood...

and if you wanna try this at home...GET A DREMEL!!!! mine broke, and it turned a 20 minite job into a 2+ day job

 

got my spotlight installed!!!!!

i used a wood wedge to make up for the windsheild slant difference, and tomorrow i am running the wires and putting the interior a-pillar cover back on.

hey toyospearo, do you have any pics iof how you modified your bracket to make up for the window slant difference?
