need help with a fuel pressure problem
Hey Guy,
I've been on the yotatech forum for a few years now and have
come to the conclusion that i trust you guys the most.
Problem is with my other vehicle
which is a 01 chevy 1500 v6
pick up.
Started 2 years ago with hard starting andvhas gotten worse
to the point of not starting for 10 minutes.
key on- 52 lbs drops to 10 in a few seconds
will not hold fuel pressure.
key on running- 52lbs
key off- drops to 10lbs.
there has been much written about the fuel pressure reg.
on the 4.3 going bad.... but it is
very hard to get to.
So for me..... it's either the pump or the regulator....... both a good amount of work.
I'm trying to diagnose the correct faulty part.
Now the car will barely start and it takes 10 minutes of cranking
before it will run. After it runs ,
pressing the gas peddle bogs the engine as if its starving.
any thought??
thanks, kenny S.
