Are there any Tips Or Tricks to repair or refinish a windshield that is pitted, the wife's runner is pretty bad. Im guessing not but thought I would ask.

it's been done. Alot of the Hotrod guys have to refinish windshields that are no longer available.
Although, it's not something I would recommend to someone who hasn't done it. I've done it to get rid of some windshield wiper scratches on Traded in cars when I used to work for a dealership as a detailer. But only in smaller areas not an entire windshield, but I am sure I could pull it off.
If it is done incorrectly you risk the possibility of skewing the smooth "flat" surface and end up with it looking like your viewing the road though coke bottle glasses. Especially with the deep scratch kit.
Would probably be just cheaper and easier to replace the windshield though.
These are the stuff we used to use.
Make note: "Try this test: Run your fingernail over the damaged area on your windshield. If nail doesn't catch this kit will work. If your nail does catch try the Deep Scratch Kit (40030). "

kawi there is a auto glass place near Pearson (on Derry I think) that has glass for our trucks... at least they did a yr ago... I called them for a price on a new 'shield for my truck and it was about $100 for a clear and $130? for a bronze solar tint... they did the 'shield on the co.I was working for's F550 and it was a fine job no leaks/no messy urethane blotches.
Can't remember the name but I think I drove by the place last week...
fwiw still have to get mine done too... whenever I drive into the sun it's like trying to look thru a million little sparkles... I hate it.
