Painted rims with pics!

I got some new (old) rims and painted them. I was wondering what you guys think. I painted them with dupli-color wheel paint, and I went with graphite instead of black. They are going to get mounted on the Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Radials that I got from Keggo. Anyways here are some pics.

Let me know what you think. The graphite came out a little lighter than I wanted, and I'm not sure if the color is too close to the paint on the runner.

yeah thats a nice colour. the shade compliments the colour of your runner more than anything darker or black would. just enough contrast.

Thanks for the comments. Now, I have to go do the other three. One has a bent lip, can I just use a BFH to straighten it out? I think my first pic shows the bend. Thanks again,
Chris

finished

I finished the other three and got them in the garage about 5 min. before it started raining. Here are a couple pics of the other three. The dupli-color paint was real easy to use, and one can was enough for four tires. I don't think I would have had enough for a fifth though. All in all, I don't think it was a waste of $5.50 or the couple hours it took. I'll post more pics when they are mounted.

looks good, with this type of wheel paint did you need to sand the wheels down first of does the duraliner adhere to the wheels without sanding

Thanks, the directions call for sanding with 320 grit. The rims were rusty in spots so I first hit them with a coarse wire cup wheel on my drill. Then I used the 320 grit. I then wiped them down with lacquer thinner. The directions call for 2 light coats followed by a medium coat with 10 min. inbetween coats. I spent more time trying to fix the rock rash on the lip of the wheels than anything else. The guy I got them from is huge into rockcrawling, his place looked like a toyota graveyard. The duraliner sprayed really well and seemed to blend easily with no runs. I guess I still have to wait and see how good it holds up, but at least it will be easy to touch up.

Is it Duraliner or Dupli-Color? I couldn't find the Duraliner anywhere...

Oops! It is dupli-color from autozone. Sorry about that, I'll edit my first post. Thanks for catching that.

How many coats did you use? Were your rims chrome? I might try to do another coat. The can says to wait 7 days before other coats. I would like it if they were just a shade darker.

While I am traditionally a black-wheel fan, that looks awesome!
