New clutch master and slave=race clutch?
I finally replaced the tired old clutch master and slave cylinder on my truck. After bleeding I test drive it to find the clutch engages when I release about 2 inches from the floor. A huge difference from the 6 inch release I was used to.
I checked for full range of motion in the slave piston. Good
Adjusted free play in the pedal. Good.
I'm assuming this is how it SUPPOSED to be and I was just used to the old tired master.
The pedal travels half as much as out used to but it's all business motion. Drives and shifts better with the tighter pedal. It just caught me off guard when I released the clutch and it engaged so quick.
Any had the same experience. Is this normal?

Every one can be different.
Just the difference between old and new.
Sometimes just the new fluid can make a difference.
I have seen poor quality parts have a worse feel then the older ones till they failed.
