my soon to be new truck PIC'S!!!

Before i defiantly buy this 85 i wanted to makeshure some body work is possible. first off here are some pics of the yota w/ a 6" lift and 33"swapers...

Noe here is the problem area. the rear pan is riddeld with rust holes and so are the wheel wells.

I think if i just do a basic box over the wheel well and just a regular piece of sheet metal over it it will work fine. Feel free to leave feedback on the truck!!!
thanks...kev

even buying it for the drive train alone for 500$ would be worth it. then you can look for another rig to do an sas!!

hey, you're not alone. i remember being 17(actually, i had just started posting here) and somebody at my school had a cherry '82 4x4, all it needed was an engine, and they wanted $500 for it. my idea was to put in the engine from the '84 2wd i had, but the folks shot that one down quick

I would consider it for stripping the drivetrain and front axle assembly.

I guess you already found it, but I was going to suggest that the frame needs a good inspection for rust if the rest of the body was in that bad a shape.

x2 - if you were all ready to weld panels in the bed, welding a little plate on the frame should be no problem. Plus it will be even stronger than factory!
