Install front Tokico's and Tundra's-sitting in garage
Install cruiser coils or mystery coils in the rear-sitting in garage
Make bigger mount plates for sliders and remount sliders higher-currently bent
Figure out and fix what part of my front bumper is bent from slickrock
Replace ps headlight-broke one mount screw on slickrock
Rework skidplates-bent and rattle
Make new skidplate for gas tank-mine is absolute scrap metal
Figure out how to keep the driveshaft from hitting the gas tank skid
Armor several other places underneath
Weld shut and repaint conferr rack
Purchase and install synthetic winch rope
Redo cargo box so it does not open from the top-access all from back
35's????????????????
Figure out what I want as onboard air setup-already have the compressor
I'm sure there is other stuff that I have forgotten

fire,
nope. i am 'living with it' for now. the mechanic guy said he would pay for another diagnosis at a toyota dealership nearby and pay for a rental car for a day. good that he is making the effort, but i may not take him up on it. what would you think the dealer would say?
dealer tech: "hmm....yeah, definitely the tranny"
but thanks for asking

My current list is as follows....
Timing belt
water pump
water neck idler
flush coolant
thermostat
new fan shroud
valve cover gaskets
helicoil 2 spark plug holes
install new (used) fuel injectors
pcv and grommet
clean out intake mainifold and EGR system
I've got the timing belt off, and today I got the valve cover gaskets sealed, and the 2 spark plug holes helicoil'ed. Next week I'll wrap up the rest of the things.
After that, I need a new front drive shaft, and move my front axle forward. Oh, and make some spring retainers for my rear TJ springs.
And then, I need to finish up my OBA/horn install. I have the tank mounted, but thats as far as I got.
Then, I'm going to do a 2 tone paint job using some rattle can bedliner on the quarters and fenders. Then probably rip out the carpet in the cargo area and spray it with some more rattle can bedliner.
Then, who knows. Front locker? 5.29's? Who knows.

OK...
I got the rear brake pads on the cruiser changed, then started on the runner.
I got the passenger side drum off after quite a bit of effort and my elequent use of my 4-letter word vocabulary. After getting it off, I began to take the shoes off when I was squirted with brake fluid from a pinhole in the brake hydraulic cylinder piston boot. NICE! At least it wasn't an axle seal like we first thought. I got a Reman cylinder and put it on, replaced the shoes, then bled the system out. I then got started on the other side. Nice and dry, but hard as heck to get off. After about 40 minutes, it finally relinquished and I got things rebuilt and back on about 30 minutes later.
I used OEM shoes, and a drum rebuild kit from Advance that had all new springs, clips, etc. That was a good buy at only $15. The Reman hydraulic cylinder was another $15 from the same place (at 8pm so dealer wasn't even an option and neither was a rebuild kit for the OEM one).
So, 1, 2, & 3 are now done. Time for 4 & 5.

more done today. my son was home w/ strep and pretty much laid on the couch and rested. i had the front coils mounted on the tokicos, and while i waited on them, i installed the new LC rear coils and the sonoran steel lower links. after that was done, we went and picked up the front assemblies. i had them on in about an hour.
i still have to get some LC rear shocks and put on the adjustable panhard bar as soon as it gets here. then i should be done w/ the suspension...
pics of the process and the new ride height will be up shortly...

oh, and i have to add a CV rebuild to the list. i have torn inners on BOTH of the CV's that are currently on the runner. i'm thinking of getting my OEM CV's rebuilt, then cryo'd and reinstalling them...

lol... another update... i had some time this afternoon, so i swapped the coils to the correct sides :pat: YY on driver and YB on passenger. i also rotated the tires, and replaced both CV's w/ new ones. both of the ones that i took off were my "spares" and have both developed inner boot leaks in the last few months. now i have those two to repair along w/ two more that need to be rebuilt... lol..
